Behind every number is a child, a family and an opportunity to take part.
We believe in being open about both the impact we create and the resources that make it possible. Here we share our activity, participation and funding figures, providing a transparent picture of the scale of our work and the community support behind it.
What limited resources have made possible
Our figures show the scale of activity delivered over time alongside the grant funding received to make that provision possible.

Multi-week therapy programmes — for example 5, 6 or 10-week blocks — are counted as the individual sessions delivered, even where Eventbrite displays the programme as a single event.
*Child places: A child place represents one place made available at a session or experience. The same child may therefore be represented more than once where they attend multiple activities.

Between 3 July and 16 August 2026, our volunteer team delivered 62 children's activity sessions across 12 venues, creating 1,047 fully booked child places and reaching 279 individual children.
The programme was delivered through a combination of Aberdeen City Council funding, Trades Widows' Fund support, parent and community fundraising, a donated First Bus experience and places paid for directly by families.
Evidence of Demand
The scale and speed of bookings during Summer 2026 provided a clear indication of demand from families.
519 fully funded child places, supported by Aberdeen City Council, were fully booked within just seven hours.
Of those places, 372 were booked within the first 40 minutes and 498 within six hours.
Demand did not stop there. Through parent and community fundraising, a further 528 places were created, bringing the Summer 2026 programme to 1,047 child places — all fully booked.
45 children who attended our Summer 2026 programme first joined Early Intervention before Summer 2022 and have continued to attend our school-holiday provision every school holiday since — demonstrating sustained engagement with the same children and families over more than four years.
Funding & Transparency
Financial information for registered Scottish charities is publicly available through the Scottish Charity Register (OSCR), allowing families, funders and the wider public to understand the resources supporting their work.
Early Intervention is a community group rather than a registered charity, so our information is not published through OSCR. In the interests of the same openness and transparency, we publish the total grant funding received to support our work.
Grant funding directly supports the delivery of our activities and experiences, including exclusive venue hires, adapted and adjusted services, independent qualified therapists and specialist practitioners, entertainers and activity providers, equipment, resources, insurance and other delivery costs.
